With our robust offering of educational and career development opportunities, your chances to grow are limitless.BAE Systems is looking for an experienced, Software Engineer to work on a cross-functional team and participate in the complete software development lifecycle including designing, developing, debugging, testing, configuring, and deploying our complex, real-time software solutions into simulation and live flight exercises. The qualified candidate will interact directly with current and potential customers to understand their requirements and guide development efforts to meet their needs.The position may require occasional travel. You will have significant opportunities for career growth in the development of scientific and mathematical software applications and algorithms.Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.#SWSDRequired Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a computer related field
• 6+ years of software design, code and test experience
• Hold an active Secret clearance with the ability obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Strong software architecture, design, and development experience using C++ and Java.
• Software development, coding, and debugging experience across the entire development lifecycle
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git
• Experience with Agile development and issue tracking systems, such as JIRA
• Experience with software build tools, such as Ant, Maven, or Gradle
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholdersPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Mission planning domain and route finding algorithm development
  • Data fusion experience
  • Experience with any of distributed systems or Military systems or simulations
  • Experience with modeling and simulation software
  • Architecture experience
  • Experience with Cloud technologies and DevSecOps tools such as Rancher, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflow, Helm, Terraform, Docker, Jenkins, Chef, Service Mesh
  • Experience with team leadership and mentoring rolesPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
