VetPowered is dedicated to bringing advanced manufacturing back to America.Key Job Functions:At VetPowered, the CNC Repair Field Service Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of CNC machines. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to guarantee the efficiency and accuracy of CNC machining processes. This position requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with manufacturing teams and outside organizations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Machine Installation and Setup:
  • Install and set up CNC machines according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and calibration to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Routine Maintenance:
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on CNC machines to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Inspect, clean, and lubricate machine components as part of routine maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with CNC machines.
  • Execute timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Competently perform the repair and maintenance of all Industrial Equipment as directed.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure CNC machines meet quality standards and produce accurate components.
  • Address and rectify deviations from quality specifications.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs, and service history.
  • Document any modifications made to machine configurations or settings.
  • Training and Support:
  • Provide training to machine operators on proper CNC machine operation and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Offer technical support to production teams and address inquiries related to CNC machines.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and guidelines during all service and maintenance activities.
  • Identify and rectify safety hazards associated with CNC machining processes.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, production managers, and other stakeholders to optimize CNC machining processes.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production workflows.Qualifications & Work Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education a plus.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machining Service Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in the use and employment of advanced machine tool calibration systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with various CNC control systems and software.
